⎨Agfa Vista⎬

I don't think I've ever shot so many food and drink images on one roll. Late May was really all about good food, good drinks and great company.

All: Canon 1N // Agfa Vista 100

The first four images were taken at Biwa where Brent took me to celebrate our half anniversary.

The cheese image was from my first cheese date with the lovely Katie, Hasselblad shooter extraordinaire (and fellow Romeo admirer).

And the last three were shot on Memorial Day, which we spent with some old friends of Brent's who have the most beautifully decorated house I've ever seen. I learned a lesson: you don't decline a margarita made by a former bartender, even if you're not usually a margarita drinker because it'll make you want more margaritas.

The late spring weather is back, and I can't help but miss the Sunday market in my hometown. I miss driving there with Brent to pick up three or four kinds of marinated olives, fresh vegetables from different stands, and stop by the Greek stall to chat with the owner and sample some olive oil. We usually ended our visit with a trip to the bakery to get some of the best bread in France (their baker was voted meilleur ouvrier de France) and a short visit to the Italian supermarket for cheese or wine.

    1. Yes, yes you do! I want to see the Cheese Bar photos and Romeo, of course!

The olives were the best part of the market. They had so many types and they were so cheap! Two cups of olives cost around 2 euros!

  5. Great photos of all the snacks & drinks. Yes Grace is right, your focus is perfect. Love the grain on this film too. Romeo seems like such a sweetheart, I wish one of my neighbors had a cat I could play with, because I can't have my own.

    1. Thank you, Magali! The grain is absolutely beautiful! I'm sad it's discontinued, and even more sad that they never made it for medium format cameras. I'm sure it'd get along with my Mamiya.

Maybe you should start a PR campaigns on behalf of cats to make a neighbor get one.

    2. Film really breaks my heart sometimes :( I hope you find some other film that makes you as happy (or happier!)
I don't reakon that will be a good idea, call us anti social but we keep out distance from the neighbors, with good reason! On the list then, is new neighbors & a cat. :)
